Started in 1903 by the Austrian confectioner Antoine Rumpelmayer, the Maison Angelina is a famous tearoom, known for its decor and its delicious cakes.
The Angelina tea salon quickly became a popular spot with the cream of Parisian society. Proust and Coco Chanel often went there. The decor at Angelina’s combines charm and elegance and it is the perfect place to enjoy a 3-carat cream puff (religieuse) or a passionfruit-citrus tart. The Mont-Blanc is also a must-try pastry at Angelina’s, where it has been famous since 1903. Angelina is also renowned for its African hot chocolate drink, made from three types of cocoa, from the Niger, Ghana and the Ivory Coast. It also sells numerous presentation boxes of biscuits, chocolates or tea as a treat for someone else… or even oneself.
