The French restaurant-bar Alcazar has been refurbished under the capable guidance of designer Laura Gonzalez. Visit this legendary spot enhanced with a touch of the tropics.
With the help of its vintage furniture and warm colours, the Alcazar transports us to a glamourous version of the Amazon forest. You eat at marble tables, surrounded by greenery. The dishes are French in inspiration and varied and tempting. The starters: organic poached egg with cep mushrooms served with foie gras and chestnuts, or perhaps prawns in consommé, accompanied by citronella and spicy ginger… As a main course: roast cod, cockle and clam mariniere, field mushrooms stuffed with morels served in a vegetable hotpot… For dessert: lightly cooked pineapple, vanilla and coconut sorbet…
But the Alcazar is not just a restaurant but also a dance bar. You can sway to the music every night from 10pm onwards and whilst enjoying some exciting cocktails.
In particular you can try the cocktail called Poudrier (ELYX Vodka, lemon, honey syrup, raspberries and egg white), or the Basil Berry Cooler (a subtle blend of ABSOLUT Vodka, lemon juice, cranberry juice, red fruits crème, basil and fresh raspberries). You can also enjoy mocktails (non-alcoholic cocktails). For connoisseurs there is also a broad range of champagnes, wines and liquors to choose from.
The Alcazar is also a place to meet people and has many exhibitions and concerts. For meals with friends or family the restaurant offers a private dining room.
