Created and built for the 1889 Universal Exhibition by Gustave Eiffel, the Eiffel Tower or Paris symbol provides an exceptional panoramic view across Paris.
Standing 320 meters tall, with 18,000 pieces of iron and weighing 10,100 tons, the Eiffel Tower is known for the stunning beauty of its frame, the quality of its restaurant, its incomparable view of Paris and the 20,000 bulbs glittering at night (for the first 5 minutes of each hour). For the most adventurous, it is possible to climb the 1,665 steps of the south pillar of the Eiffel Tower. For everyone else, take the lift to the museum (1st floor) or to the gourmet restaurant Le Jules Verne (2nd floor) which offers a magnificent view of Paris and first-class food.
