The charm of the Belleville – Buttes Chaumont district lies in its artistic nature: graffiti, collages and tags cover the neighbourhood walls, particularly along the Rue Denoyez. A little further on in the Place Fréhel are murals decorating the walls of the buildings (artists Jean le Gac and Ben Vautier participated). Buttes Chaumont Park is also one you shouldn’t miss in Paris; it’s the 5th largest green space in the capital after the Bois de Boulogne, the Bois de Vincennes, the La Villette Park and the Tuileries Gardens. You have a fine view of Montmartre and the Eiffel Tower from the top of the Buttes Chaumont.
Also worth seeing: the Mouzaïa, or Americas quarter, composed of small houses built along narrow streets like a small village.
