  • Bloomsbury-Fitzrovia, the charm of a residential area in the heart of London

Built during the 17th and 18th centuries by the well-known aristocratic Russell family, who created there a fashionable residential neighbourhood, Bloomsbury-Fitzrovia is the perfect example of London charm.

There are several green and stylish Georgian squares such as Gordon Square, Bloomsbury Square, Bedford Square and Russell Square. Bloomsbury-Fitzrovia is also associated with the Bloomsbury Group, a group of artists, writers and intellectuals living at the start of the 20th century.

Also worth visiting: the British Museum, located in the heart of Bloomsbury, with its impressive collection of artefacts from every continent, tracing the evolution of mankind across the centuries; the Dickens Museum, which pays tribute to one of the greatest British novelists; the Grant Museum of Zoology, one of the oldest natural history collections in the United Kingdom; the Wiener Library, one of the first museums in the world to be dedicated to the Holocaust.
